Ms. Labelle has an Honours Batchelor of Arts in criminology (minoring in criminal psychology), a degree in law (focusing on criminal law and graduating with Distinction) and her Masters of Law from Queen’s University. She focused at Queens on criminal evidence law and the application of the Corbett principle to racial minority defendants.

Ms. Labelle has a strong desire to focus her career on advocating for equality and equity in the criminal justice system, working with and protecting clients from racial minority communities. She is fond of working on matters involving clients’ rights as protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, cases involving police misconduct, and on allegations based on the execution of search warrants.
