Royland Moriah

For the past 18 years, Mr. Moriah has been committed to protecting the rights of those marginalized by society. He began his career in 2005 at a legal clinic focused on anti-racism, anti-discrimination, and human rights litigation. However, he was always drawn to criminal law, particularly its important role in protecting the rights of accused persons, and by extension, the rights of all members of society. He began an exclusive criminal law practice in 2007, first as an associate with an experienced criminal lawyer, then starting his own practice in 2012, and eventually joining Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross & Angelini LLP.

Mr. Moriah firmly believes every person deserves a vigorous defence of their constitutionally protected rights. He is committed to helping every client navigate the criminal justice system in a way that ensures the best outcome for them in their individual circumstances. He understands the physical, psychological, and financial toll a criminal charge can have on someone. His client-focused approach to each case is rooted in the sincere belief that every person deserves a compassionate and strategic defence.
