Simona completed her articles at Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross & Angelini, LLP before returning to the firm as a partner. She exclusively practices criminal law and has worked on a broad range of cases, from provincial offences to homicides.

Simona regularly appears in the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and Provincial Offences Court. Simona has conducted countless bail hearings and has secured the release of clients charged with various offences. In 2023, Simona successfully obtained jury acquittals for an individual facing four allegations of sexual assault. Within that year, Simona also had several human trafficking charges dismissed on the first day of trial for a young man with no criminal record. Simona has also yielded successful results in persuading the Crown to withdraw charges outright. Recently, she had an impaired driving case withdrawn at an early stage and saved her client the personal and financial stress of a trial.

Simona is passionate about fiercely advocating for her client’s interest. Her love of litigation and compassion for her clients shapes her practice as a criminal defence lawyer.
